Testing Services

LTS provides on-site services for all leak testing applications and in every type of environment. We support on-going maintenance projects, one time applications, large and small construction projects and welding and fabrication facilities. LTS also provides laboratory testing services. Our certified technicians and engineers have the ability to perform leakage measurement and leak location testing. Testing can be performed in accordance with ASTM Standards, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, API Codes, ANSI 56.8, ANSI N14.5, MIL Stds or our Test Engineers will prepare a test procedure to meet the customers specifications. All of our procedures are approved by ASNT Level III technicians.

Certified Test Personnel

All leak test personnel are qualified as Level I, Level II or Level III in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A, ANST CP-189 and NAS-410. Training requires as much as 80 hours of formal classroom training in different leak test methods and as much as four (4) years of leak testing experience. The training and qualification of all test personnel is performed by our ASNT Certified Leak Test Level III Examiners. Test personnel are qualified in all leak test methods and test techniques including mass spectrometer, pressure change/measurement, bubble, ultrasonic, thermal conductivity and halogen diode.

NQA-1 Program

LEAK TESTING SPECIALISTS, INC. (LTS) provides personnel to perform examinations, testing, training and consulting services. Clients include Utility Owners, US Department of Energy, Government Contractors, manufacturing facilities, and OEMs. LTS is committed to providing quality service, which at a minimum meets contractual and regulatory requirements. To ensure that this goal is met and that LTS satisfactorily addresses all of its legal and professional responsibilities to protect the health and safety of the public, this Quality Assurance program has been implemented for services provided to nuclear facilities, DOE and contractors performing safety related work. The manual affirms LTS’ policy and specifies the requirements for the systematic control of activities to ensure that requisite quality is achieved. The manual has been developed to meet the requirements of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission document 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR830.122 as specifically related to Quality Assurance for services provided by LTS. It is the policy of LTS to maintain, implement, and upgrade as necessary, a Quality Assurance Program that complies with 10CFR50 Appendix B, and that reflects the guidance of ANSI/ASME NQA-1 “Quality Assurance Program Requirements for Nuclear Facilities” 1996 Edition with applicable supplements, and ANSI/ASME N45.2 1977 Edition “Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants” and applicable daughter standards.

Lawsuit Investigation Testing

Our vast testing experience in all non destructive testing methodologies and engineering background allows LTS to perform reliability analysis and to investigate or confirm component failure. Expert witness representation can also be provided.
